The Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi has promised Nigerians that he would eliminate poverty and insecurity challenges in the country if elected.
He made the affirmation in Katsina at a presidential campaign rally.
“We are here with the promise of building a new Nigeria where there will be security and no poverty” and
“A Nigeria where your children and yourself will be happy to stay in,” he said.
Obi also declared that he would ensure that youths were given proper attention to stop them from indulging in thuggery and other social vices.
He continued by saying that he would create job opportunities for a teeming number of unemployed people to enable them to contribute positively to the development of society.
The presidential candidate guaranteed that he would also make better business activities in the country.
According to him, he has already fashioned out policies and programs in all sectors of life that will help to enhance the living condition of the citizens and move the country forward.
He, therefore, urged the electorate to come out in their masses to vote for Labour Party candidates during the election.
Also speaking, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the party, Datti Baba-Ahmed, said that from the time they were inaugurated, would be the end of insecurity bedeviling the country.
Baba-Ahmed said that they would also ensure prudence in governance.
He further assured that every citizen would live a happy life if the Labour Party takes over power in Nigeria.
