The POSN TEAM, Delta State played Host to the Ten (10) POSN South South and South East at the Prestigious Grand Hotel, Asaba, Delta State Capital in a two-day Summit put together by POSN-National Team, in conjunction with the Diaspora Medics for Good Governance (DM4GG). It was a gathering of POSN Political Technocrats drawn from all the 9 SS/SE States of the Federation.
Peter Obi’s Movement across board, both in the local and diaspora political space, is no longer seen as the social media propaganda as earlier clamoured by critics, but has generated into a cloud of realities on the desk tops in all offices, in the mouth of every speaker, in the ears of every listener, on the streets of every community, on the pages of print media, on the screens of television, etc. It has now become the subject matter of every discussion on daily basis. All of these, are the outcries of the citizenry for a better governance.
Day 1:
On Friday, September 16, 2022, The Diaspora Medics for Good Governance, known as DM-4-GG for short, took a centre stage in administering to the health needs of the entire indigenes of Asaba Community, free of charge. Free tests and free drugs, courtesy, Diaspora Medics for Good Governance, all the way from Ohio, United States of America.
Day 2:
It was occasioned by the arrival of POSN delegates, other guests in their large numbers from various Support groups including the Women for Peter Obi (WPO), within and outside the state.
The Global Coordinator of POSN, Augusta Nneka, who took the crowd, memory lane on the history of POSN, expressed joy and optimism that the Summit has proven, beyond every reasonable doubt, that Nigeria is experiencing a new phase of governance and will soon spring up again in the scheme of things. She charged participants to see the Peter Obi’s project as a great move to change the narrative of this giant of Africa. She further stated that we all should harness their resources towards the success of Peter Obi/Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, come 2023.
The keynote Address delivered by the ever committed Delta State Labour Party Chairman, Chief Ambassador Tony Ezeagwu, who represented Professor Pat Utomi, focused on the theme: “Developing Grassroot Structure for Effective People-Oriented Democracy”. He further emphasized on the need for participants to believe in themselves on their resolve to embark on grassroot Mobilization for the Principal’s agenda of taking back this Nation from tyrannical rulership. He charged POSN and all other Peter Obi Support groups to step up their games in selling our only brand: Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed team to the citizenry. To this end, the Ambassador charged every Nigerian, who loves a better change for this country, to embrace and take the message of Papa, Mama, Pikin in the Party’s logo to the grassroot.
The occasion also featured the goodwill message delivered by the Delta State Media Officer, Comrade McCollins Nwose, on behalf of the co-organizers, Diaspora Medics for Good Governance (DM-4-GG), United States of America. In their goodwill message, the group which is made of Medical Practitioners in Diaspora, emphasized that their vision is to restore the nation’s health sector to it’s full potential via good governance.
The group expressed great optimism that with Peter Obi’s emergence as the President of our country in the forthcoming election, Competence and Quality Leadership already exhibited by His Excellency so far, would bring back the revered changes needed for Nigeria.
The Chairman, Local Organizing Committee (LOC), who is also the POSN Delta State Coordinator, Evang Benok Nwanji, said, the credit goes to God Almighty for a successful conference and appreciated the DM-4-GG and all the stakeholders for their valuable contributions.
The climax of the programme was the endorsement of Peter Obi/Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed by the Nine (9) SS/SE States POSN coordinators.
The Chief Master of Ceremony, who is also the Director of Communications, POSN and a pioneer member of the POSN, Prince Emeka Kalu, a.k.a. “The Magic Finger”, ably assisted by Comrade McCollins Nwose, the Delta State POSN Media Coordinator, where they both turned the occasion into a humourous entertainment, but strictly on point with a focus on the people-oriented business forum for Peter Obi agenda. It was a “bomb”.
