ONLY PETER OBI CAN SOLVE NIGERIA’S PROBLEMS- LABOUR PARTY

Labour Party (LP), on Sunday, flagged off campaign in Delta North Senatorial District to formally present the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, saying he’s the only one that would surmount current challenges facing the country

Delta North senatorial candidate, Ken Kanma, who led the campaign in Asaba, the state capital, said Obi would provide answers to Nigeria’s problems and urged all to pray for him to emerge winner, come 2023.

He said: “Nigerians have suffered enough in the midst of plenty. Peter Obi is the answer to Nigerians’ prayers, and we believe in considering his antecedents as the governor of Anambra.

“When Obi started talking on the solution to Nigeria’s problem, I saw it was possible to solve this problem. It is all about commitment and sincerity.

“Many of our leaders are not sincere even to themselves. Look at the recent eight months ASUU strike; they were not concerned because their children are in different schools outside Nigeria. They continue to punish the poor masses by bringing down our educational standard.”

Kanma, who promised good representation, lamented abandoned projects across senatorial districts, adding that a good lawmaker monitors projects from the day it was awarded to ensure proper execution.

He expressed concern over the abandon Ogwashi-Uku Dam and blamed lawmakers in the district for their failure to ensure the completion of the project.

In his remark, the state Chairman of the party, Chief Tony Eseagwu, said the candidates of the party from the presidency to Assembly were men who have succeeded in their private and public enterprises.
