15 Arrested Over Plot To Hack Election Results

Fifteen individuals are currently under investigation by the Katsina State police for an alleged plan to hack into the results of the presidential and national assembly polls in Nigeria. The police spokesperson, SP Gambo Isa, stated that the suspects were apprehended with several electronic devices, including computers. The police are currently conducting investigations with the help of experts to determine the nature of the situation due to its sensitive nature. The suspects are currently detained at the police headquarters awaiting the outcome of the investigation. A statement from the Deputy Director of Public Affairs of the Tinubu/Shetima Campaign Council, Hannatu Musa Musawa, accused the suspects of being agents of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Hannatu claimed that the PDP secured a building belonging to Alhaji Abdulazeez Mamman (Audu Mamman) and that 12 PDP members were arrested with around 21 computers in their possession. The investigation is ongoing, and the public will be informed of the outcome.
