Reno Omokri, a socio-political activist, has made a firm declaration that he will not live to witness Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, become the President of Nigeria.
Omokri stated that he is willing to spend all his resources to ensure that Obi does not succeed in winning a presidential election in Nigeria.
In a statement, the former presidential aide claimed that his family and himself have been subjected to the detrimental actions of Obi’s “ill-mannered followers.”
Peter Obi’s effort to unseat Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s President was unsuccessful at the tribunal but will now be pursued at the Supreme Court.
However, Omokri firmly expressed that he will not live to see Obi occupy the Presidential Villa as an elected president.
“Peter Obi, I am patiently waiting for you in 2027 and 2031, God willing. Due to the harm inflicted upon my then one-year-old daughter and the rest of my family by your disrespectful and aggressive supporters, I have made a vow that you will never ascend to the Presidency. Never,” he wrote on X shortly after the Tribunal ruled in favor of Tinubu.
“Nobody has endured the actions of your ill-mannered followers like my family and I have. And even if it means sacrificing all my possessions, I will do it to ensure that Nigeria never commits the mistake of electing you as her President, both now and in the future,” he confidently declared.
